The DES 24-90 cable entry frame allows 90° entry of cables with and without connectors and corrugated pipes into electrical cabinets, switchboards, machine panels and other devices.
The DES cable grommet system is the ideal solution for cable management by allowing the 90° entry of headed cables, pre-wired cables, connected cables and corrugated cables inside electrical panels,electrical equipment and machines. Thanks to the opening grommets,also known as cable grommet supports, it is possible to accommodate a large number of cables whose maximum diameter depends on the flexibility of the cables. This is possible thanks to a DetasUltra patent that allows the grommets (also called cable grommet supports) to be positioned and slide freely within the frame. It will thus be possible, for example, to run multiple types of headed and unheaded cables, corrugated and others through the same frame. The frame or grommet strip includes two V2A (SS304) steel screws and two nuts co-molded into the piece also made of steel but with a black geomet finish.
The DES split frames product family is made of chemically bonded glass fibre reinforced polypropylene, specifically designed for applications requiring high rigidity and mechanical resistance even at high temperatures. The chemical bond between Polypropylene and glass fibre guarantees high impact resistance, improved mechanical properties and greater resistance to detergents and chemical agents.
Fastening of the grommet strip to the board or panel is done with screws or rivets. Upon request, we supply screws for fastening, again made of stainless steel but with a black geomet finish. Alternatively, you can use the "Snap" quick coupler for greater mounting flexibility.
DES 24 90 is fixed to the panel using the standard openings of the 24-pole multipole connectors. DES 24-90 consists of two parts where 10 small grommets or 2 large and 2 small grommets or a multiple combination of grommets can be accommodated. Thanks to the multi-hole grommets, up to 40 cables can be routed through the wall in a very small space. The DES 24-90 achieves protection class IP54 and complies with EN62444, which guarantees the cable strain relief.
The system satisfies the self-extinguishing class UL94V0 for the frame and for the grommets(grey and black).
