EN1363-1 Certification

EN1363-1 Certification specifies general principles for determining the fire resistance of various building elements subjected to normalized fire exposure conditions.

Meaning of EI45:
E (Tightness): The element is capable of preventing the passage of flames and hot gases for at least 45 minutes.
I (Thermal insulation): The element is able to limit the temperature rise on the surface not exposed to fire for the same period (45 minutes).
45: Indicates the time (in minutes) for which the element maintained both performances (E and I) during the test according to EN1363-1.
